After eight successful seasons on ABC, the cast, crew and producers of Touchstone Television's long-time hit series "Home Improvement" completed production on the series' final episode on Friday, April 9, 1999. The emotion-charged finale taping was followed by a gala wrap party on Stage 2 of The Walt Disney Studios, a step back in time to a soundstage draped in maroon and gold velvet art deco decor and the swingin' beat of Big Bad Voodoo Daddy filling the air.

Tim Allen ("Tim Taylor")

Q: I imagine that the emotions are running high in there tonight. What were the thoughts going through your mind during the filming of the last episode?

TA: I'm gonna miss this set, and Disney Studios. If you work here, and you get along, it's a great place to work. I've never had a job I liked this much. I love this studio, and the staff here. I'm gonna miss all these people here. They're clearing me out as we speak! That's how fast it goes, man! You're in, and then the next thing you know, Whew! Where's all my stuff? It's in that truck over there. Security forgot my name! Yes!

Q: Tim who?

TA: Tim who? Hey, where's your pass?
