Season 5, Episode 24 - My Transition

J.D. asks Kim (Elizabeth Banks) out on a date and she accepts. He's worried because he has no idea where to take her on the date and he wants to make a good impression. He decides to take her horseback riding on the beach. J.D. makes the mistake of riding bareback, which ends up being very painful. After their romantic ride on the beach, J.D. is in so much pain that Kim has to examine his painful testicles. Later that night back at the apartment, J.D. and Kim are just about to kiss when Elliot interrupts them.

J.D. tries to ask Kim out the next day, but she already has plans to go to a Neil Diamond concert with Elliot. Frustrated that he's missing the only chance he'll have with Kim for weeks due to their schedule, J.D. goes off on Elliot, calling her selfish. Elliot is definitely hurt by the attack. Fortunately, Elliot has a change of heart and takes Keith to the concert instead, leaving Kim free to spend the evening with J.D. They end up making out on the deck. But apparently, they must have gone even further because two weeks later, Kim announces to J.D. that she is pregnant.

Meanwhile, Carla's belly has popped out and everyone is eager to feel the baby move. Elliot plans her baby shower, located in the cafeteria. Speaking of babies, Jordan and Dr. Cox get the shock of their lives when they find out that Jordan is pregnant. It's particularly hard news to take because Jack was almost potty trained and they were looking forward to their lives returning to pre-baby normalcy.
