Now that J.D. knows that Dr. Cox is the father of Jordan's baby, he is torn between telling him or keeping the secret to himself. He also wonders why Cox and Jordan ever got divorced in the first place. He soon finds out the answer when Dr. Peter Fisher (Jay Mohr), a private practice doctor, tends to his patient, Mrs. Grayson (Kathryn White) at the hospital. Dr. Fisher was a resident at the hospital a few years ago and he and Dr. Cox used to be close friends.
After work, J.D. and Pete hang out at the bar. J.D. quickly ducks behind the pool table when Dr. Cox walks in. The next day at the hospital, Cox warns J.D. to stay away from Pete but doesn't tell him why. The reason is later revealed in the doctor's lounge when Cox confronts Pete about sleeping with Jordan while she was dating Cox. It led to their marriage breaking up, for which Cox has never forgiven Pete. Since she said yes to Turk's proposal, Carla has been feeling less sexy about herself. She thinks that her engagement ring has sucked away all of her sexiness. Even Todd doesn't respond in his usual gross way until she takes the ring off her finger. Turk isn't feeling like his usual self either after Dr. Kelso starts parking his car in the spot where he and Todd play basketball before surgery. To get even with him, Turk unplugs the Ms. Pac Man machine. Dr. Kelso had racked up a remarkable 40 million points, but no more. As a compromise, they try hitting balls at the golf course, but that's not as effective as playing basketball or Ms. Pac Man. Kelso gets back at Turk by telling security that he doesn't know who Turk is and watches as he is escorted from the golf course by security. The Janitor makes a new friend in Elliot when he fixes her pager. |
